RWANDA

WELCOME TO RWANDA

Rwanda is famous for their gorilla tours. You can have your own "Gorilla in the Mist" experience when you visit this country. Unfortunately too many tourist come and out and only do the gorilla tours and miss out on the many other treasures the country has to offer.  The golden monkeys living in the bamboo forest near the gorillas is something not to be missed.

The Nyungwe Forest Lodge that is located in the middle of a working tea plantation is a experience on its own.

Many people do not realize that they are less than a hour away from a tropical beach, "Gisenyi "on the shores of Lake Kivu while they visiting the gorillas. This is a beautiful place to add one or two nights to your gorilla vacation.

The Akagera National Park is home to elephants and one of the largest hippo populations in Africa. The park itself is spectacular.

In Kigali you will find "Gisozi Genocide Memorial". The exhibits are moving and include coverage of other genocides around the world.
